The soft wheat-colored sand beach stretches out for miles and provides opportunities for swimming, seashell hunting, and sun bathing. Pomeroy Street, which is brimming with activity and shops (cotton candy, candied apples, ice cream, seashells, and gifts), leads to the beach, the boardwalk, and the pier.
Nearby is a bluff walk to a cave, beach horseback riding, and areas where cars can be driven on the beach sand along the edge of the sea. Beach camping and dune buggy riding are very popular here.
